Privacy Policy
We designed Quickburn to collect as little information as possible. When you create a secret, the message is encrypted in your browser using the Web Crypto API.
Data collection
The server only stores the ciphertext, expiration time, and a counter for how many times the link has been viewed. We never see your plaintext secret.
Secrets are stored only long enough to honor the expiration you choose. After the timer runs out or the link is opened, the encrypted blob and its metadata are deleted automatically. We do not keep backups. If a secret is lost, it cannot be recovered.
Logs and analytics
Our servers write minimal logs for abuse prevention. These logs may include IP addresses and user agents and are retained for no more than 30 days. We do not use third‑party analytics or tracking scripts. Basic traffic statistics are derived from anonymized server metrics.
Cookies
Quickburn sets a single session cookie to remember your preference for light or dark mode. This cookie contains no unique identifier and is not used for cross‑site tracking. If we ever introduce advertising or additional cookies, they will load only after you opt in.
Your rights
We are based in the European Union and aim to follow GDPR principles such as data minimization and purpose limitation. Because we store so little personal data, most rights requests can be satisfied by deleting your secret link. For any privacy inquiries, contact us at hello@utilixy.com.
This policy may evolve as the service grows. Significant changes will be announced on this page with a new update date. We encourage you to review it periodically.
