Privacy Policy for Quickburn
Effective date: August 25, 2025
Quickburn is a service for creating notes that automatically burn after being read. Protecting your privacy is central to how Quickburn works.
What we collect
We do not log or store the contents of your notes.
Notes are encrypted in your browser before they are sent. The Quickburn servers only ever see the encrypted form.
Minimal metadata (such as expiration time and number of allowed reads) is stored temporarily to enforce burn-after-reading functionality.
What we don’t collect
We do not collect personal information such as your name, email, or browsing history.
We do not use cookies or trackers for note creation or reading.
The Quickburn browser extension does not read, monitor, or modify any websites you visit. It only acts when you explicitly choose “Send with Quickburn.”
How long data is kept
Encrypted notes and their metadata are deleted automatically once they expire or are read the allowed number of times.
We do not retain data after deletion.
Third-party services
Hosting is provided by Vercel (for the website and API).
If attachments or new features are introduced in the future, this policy will be updated to reflect any additional services involved.
